The Tonnino Estates are located in the Belice Valley, in the territories of Contessa Entellina, Poggioreale and Salaparuta, famous micro-zones for imprinting an important and strong personality to the wines produced. Nestled in Sicily in a landscape of rare beauty, at an altitude between 200 and 450 meters above sea level, the Tonnino Estates benefit naturally from the unique features of the local environment which determine the qualitative excellence of a wine.

IGP
VARIETY: 100% Nero d’Avola.
APPELATION: Red wine - IGP “Terre Siciliane”
VINEYARD AREA: Contessa Entellina hills, between 200 and 300 meters above sea-level.
WINEMAKING: This Nero d’Avola is harvested at the right phenolic ripeness and vinified with a 12 – 15 days long maceration at 26° C with daily pump- overs. After racking the wine is matured in stainless steel tanks for 4 months before being bottled. No oak is used to preserve the freshness.

COLOUR: Intense red, with ruby reflections.
TASTING NOTES: Deep red with purple tones at the sight. On the nose the evident blueberry hints meld into brighter tones of wild berry fruits. On the palate Nero d’Avola shows a full mid body and round tannins, balanced acidity and persistency with a fruity finish.

Serve chilled in medium width goblets; it can be served immediately after uncorking.
